Q: “Tell us about yourself.”
A: “I am an avid reader and video gamer with a passion for theater. I am an adjunct professor at several Washington, D.C. metro institutions.”

Q: “What was your motivation for pursuing your degree?”
A: “I wanted to teach and write political and military history. My future professional plans are to become a professor at a top-tier institution and publish books on history that impact the public square.”

Q: “Why did you choose Norwich?”
A: “I chose Norwich because it provides the flexibility of online work with the networking and mentoring opportunities of a residential program.”

Q: “Did you have any uncertainties with choosing an online program?”
A: “I had no uncertainties. The Norwich recruitment team answered all my questions and put any fears to rest. It really was not a concern.”

Q: “Prior to beginning your courses, what were some of your expectations for an online degree program?”
A: “I expected to be pushed to become a better student and researcher. It worked; Norwich made me into a historian.”

How do you plan to use your degree in your career?”
A: “I am using my military history degree to advance my career in higher education. The research I completed for my Norwich capstone is what got me into my doctoral program. Now, I graduated with distinction with my doctorate in United States History from Howard University. Norwich prepared me for the rigors and difficulties of a doctoral program.”

Q: “Please tell us about a time in which you could put your knowledge gained in the classroom to work immediately at your job.”
A: I use the knowledge I gained at Norwich every day when I explain to students how historians reach conclusions about the past. As a history professor, I am always pulling in and using the knowledge I gained as a graduate student at Norwich; it happens too often to list.”

Q: “What advice would you give future students enrolling in one of Norwich's online programs?”
A: “Schedule your study time like you would a job and stick to it.”
