Can a grumpy gym owner and a cheery florist find real love in their fake relationship? I'm a florist who thrives on sunshine, flowers, and smiles. Lying? Not my thing. That is, until a simple misunderstanding throws me into a fake relationship with Garrett, the gym owner next door. Garrett's a rough-around-the-edges grump. A really hot, gruff grump if we're being honest here. And now that he's asked me to play along with this fake relationship, I'm not sure I want to stop pretending... Can I chip away at Garrett's hardened exterior to reveal the heart of gold I know is underneath? Or will his gruff demeanor and buried past keep our fake love story from turning into a real-life romance? Brielle works in the flower shop next door to Garret's gym which means she is used to customers who are not quite sure what they need. But Garret's request takes her by surprise not just completely but utterly. He would like flowers for a funeral...the funeral of his grandmothers pet hamster Ralph. Touched beyond words Brielle helps him find something suitable before then offering to attend the funeral, the next day with him. When Garret's wonderful grandmother thinks the pair are a couple and invites them to her birthday party a kind gesture on Birelle's part becomes a fate dating scenario and quickly turns into even more. There is no doubt that there is an instant attraction between Garrett and Brielle but he is embarrassed by an old injury that he has never quite got over, embarrassed by his behaviour and acting gruffly. Can Brielle bring him out of his shell and find the charming, loving man underneath? A short, simple and beautiful romantic story. I loved Fake Dating the Small Town Grump. Brielle stumbled into a fake relationship with Garrett. She wasn’t upset about it until he pulled a cold shoulder and pushed her away. His grandmother tries to explain his behavior but Brielle needs to protect herself. Garrett realizes his mistake but will it be too late? A shirt and sweet story with cute characters. I loved Garrett’s grandmother. I would definitely recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Fake Dating the Small Town Grump is a very quick read. Garrett owns the gym next door to the flower shop where Brielle works. When Brielle comes to his grandmother's house with him, his grandma assumes they’re dating. To keep his grandma happy, they agree to a fake relationship until after his grandma's birthday party. This story is light, fun, and a little steamy - a lunch break read with a fake relationship and a grumpy/sunshine match. Garrett and Brielle's story was quick, entertaining, somewhat steamy and didn't have a lot of conflict. That is, he wasn't truly that grumpy for the majority of the book. Overall it was cute and the story moved quickly, but still managed to get some emotion and character development in it as well. It was also quite a sweet story and had some fun moments. If you like instalove, not-so-grumpy/sunshine romance, this is a good choice. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

One of my favorite dynamics is grumpy/sunshine (hello, real life experience) and this couple certainly fit the bill! Such a great romance and a wonderful story development. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
