nice fluffy, moist, light cake with a deep chocolate flavor. Everyone loved this when I made it and I didn't include the icing. I served with a squirt of whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup with strawberries. a nice ending to a meal.

This recipe is simple and comes together nicely. I am not the biggest fan of coffee flavor, so I made the cake as directed but omitted the coffee from the topping, instead mixing just the whipped cream and marshmallow fluff, then shaving chocolate over top. The result was elegant, and it was a hit at the dinner party. This will definitely be made more often.

This is probably the best chocolate cake I have ever made and even ever tasted. It is so moist and even a bit fudgy. I was amazed at how good it was and so easy too! I used Miricle Whip instead of mayo and it worked fine! The frosting was a little runny but very tasty. However it made a bit too much. Will most definitely make again.

Excellent, moist and chocolately-rich cake. The added crunch from the morsels is wonderful. Also, I loved the mocha creme taste as this is what sets it apart from other chocolate cake recipes. I plan to make this cake for family visiting for the holidays!

I served this to clients I cook for at a fishing lodge. It is showy, not to mention deliciously rich and filling. The frosting makes the cake. Everyone "ooooohed and awwwed." Will be serving it again!

Great recipe. It always gets rave reviews when I serve it. The frosting is a bit much, and I only put half of it on the cake. Just too sweet for my liking.

This may well be the best chocolate cake I've eaten! Delicious!! The mocha cream is a bit much, I would decrease the amount of coffee in the cream or not use at all.

I have had this in my recipe folder since 2006 and just tried it for the first time over the weekend. Made it exactly as per the recipe. Fantastic. Moist, sweet, and absolutely delicious.

This cake is outstanding. Moist and delicious! However, I was not impressed with the frosting. It was too sweet (even with extra coffee) and I thought it overpowered the flavor of the cake. I also didn't like the texture of the frosting. The marshmallow creme made it very sticky and dense. I would make this cake again but with a traditional vanilla frosting with coffee flavoring.

this is a go-to recipe for just a yummy choc. cake. It's great for the summer because it's cold. Cake is sooooooo moist!! People always ask for it! Hard to believe it's "light" with a cup of mayo!

Just remember to make ahead- mocha cream has to chill. I shared this recipe during a recipe exchange and everyone loved it. I forgot to add the choc chips once to the batter, and it was still great. Definitely one of my top five favorites.

I wanted a smaller cake, so I halved all ingredients and baked it in an 8x8 square pan. The cake came out super rich, fudgy, and delicious. Make sure you wait until the cake is COMPLETELY cooled before adding the frosting, as it will melt the frosting otherwise.

Amazing dessert. I have made it for a few years now and would highly recommend trying it. The coffee taste can be a bit much to some, so I use a little less than the recipe calls for, but it is definitely a 5 star recipe. I have made this cake for friends, family, and coworkers and it is always a hit.

This was a great combination! The chocolate cake was very moist and a nice dark color. The mayonnaise did initially scare me, but it really makes the cake wonderfully moist but not greasy. The mocha cream was even better than the cake. It did not have an overwhelming coffee flavor as other reviewer's mentioned. I would definitely make this again!

This tasted like a good chocolate cake. It was easy to make. But it does not deserve a 5 star rating. There is nothing spectacular about this recipe. I would not make this again.

I REALLY like the cake part of this recipe. (Although I realized in retrospect I forgot to add the vanilla and the chocolate chips.) I would give the cake part of the recipe 5 stars, but the frosting was only OK (3 or 2 stars). The marshmallows and the coffee tasted a little strange together to me, but I think it's worth trying out. I didn't put the chocolate sauce on top either though, so maybe that would change it.

The recipe is a little too sweet, but I use just the cake recipe all of the time. It makes such a moist, rich chocolate cake. Then I just ice it with chocolate icing.

Made this for a coworker and everybody raved about it. Easy recipe with delicious results. I sub'd sour cream for mayo and didn't have chocolate chips but we didn't miss them. Cake batter seemed thin but caked puffed up perfect in the time given in the recipe. Coffee flavor was just right. Will def make this again.

The cake is so moist and rich. The frosting is so light and fluffy. I made this for my boss's birthday and she said it was a five-star recipe! I was afraid of the mayo, but that might have been the key to the cake's moistness. Coffee was not too overpowering. I will definitely make this again.

OMG, this is absolutely the best chocolate cake ever! I followed the cake recipe exactly and it turned out amazing. I substituted freshly brewed espresso from Starbucks for the instant coffee & water in the frosting. I also left off the chocolate syrup. I will definitely make this again as a birthday cake for all of my chocolate loving friends.
