I've had my last manicure here. We moved to Southington about 4 years ago. I live 1/2 mile away from Sister's. It's always been easy. I am incredibly low maintenance. I typically get a mani/pedi about 4-5 times per year. Always just a regular mani/pedi - nothing fancy. Occasionally I'll throw in a party nail but even that's rare. Both of my kiddos are finally in school and I have a day off during the week. I finally decided that I was was going to spend a bit more time on self-care and decided I'd start getting gels since I have more time now to keep up with them. I've never gotten gel at Sister's until last Thursday. It was the WORST gel manicure I've ever had. The time I was there wasn't bad. I will say - I've never loved the fact that they push cuticles back dry - I've heard that's bad practice and bad for your cuticles (and it kinda hurts a little). I've always let it slide since I didn't go that often. My nails started to peel on day 6. By day 7 - Thanksgiving - they already looked a mess. I was planning to go back to have them redone this Thursday but I can't wait. They look absolutely terrible. $80 for a gel mani/pedi. Nothing fancy. Peels 6 days later. No. I will be finding a new nail salon.

Super Awesome! Dont let the bad reviews scare you, theyre from previous owners. The new place and management is spectacular. The owners were super friendly and sweet, she reshaped my nails from a previous bad set and it was perfect I definitely recommend giving them I try I loved it!

Every time I get my nails done here I love them!! They last forever, never break, and the employees are all super nice. I've been coming here for four years and even when I'm home from college, this is where I always come back to!

Sisters nail salon is my usual go to for manicures and pedicures. They recently renovated this year and everything is up to date and clean. There is always a full staff which I enjoy because I like the option of being able to walk in and be accommodated. The pedicure stations are in a separate area and all the chairs have a built in massage feature. Talk about relaxation! I usually pay the extra though and get a staff member to recieve an actual chair massage for 1$ a minute, and it's worth it! Helen is my favorite and every time I go, she takes her time and is very detail oriented. She makes sure my nails look great! I love how they have so many different colors to choose from and they also have gel and dip powder. All the supplies they use are brand new and opened in front of you. I continue going to this location because of that. Can't wait to go back for another self care day!
