Next week will pass without UFC tournaments or high-profile boxing fights. At the same time, martial arts fans will still have something to watch. Next week’s main fights are in our traditional selection.
may 23. Jermaine Franklin – Devin Vargas
A professional boxing tournament will take place in Detroit, featuring a heavyweight fight. Jermaine Franklin and Devin Vargas will share the ring.
Franklin won the famous Golden Gloves tournament and was one of the top prospects in the Royal Division. Jermaine remained undefeated until he met top boxers Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua. He lost to both of them by decision, but he already managed to close these defeats. Franklin is in the top 15 in the world rankings and another big win will help him return to the ranks of potential title contenders. Devin Vargas is an experienced amateur boxer who competed in the 2004 Athens Olympics, but ended his performance in the second round. As a professional, Devin doesn’t have enough stars in the sky, but he can force all opponents to fight.

May 24. Vyacheslav Datsik – Sean Turner
On Friday, Vyacheslav Datsik will return to REN TV Fight Club. Red Tarzan will fight against the Irishman Sean Turner. Datsik last competed in the fall, then lost to Pyotr Romankevich and took a break, which was extended; Datsik usually didn’t take such long breaks. This was also due to the fact that Vyacheslav was bitten by a dog and objectively could not prepare for battle, let alone fight. Initially, it was announced that Datsik would have a rematch with Alexander Emelianenko, but this fight fell through. Sean Turner was then offered as a rival to Vyacheslav.
This is not the first time that the Irishman will participate in REN TV Fight Club tournaments. In February, Turner met with newly appointed Russian Kevin Johnson. They had a four-round fight under boxing rules, and Johnson knocked out the Irishman with a blow to the liver. Datsik, by the way, also lost to Kevin, so he and Turner have something in common.

May 24. Alexey Papin – Isaac Chilemba
For Alexey Papin, this will also be a return to the boxing ring after the defeat. As part of the REN TV Fight Club, Alexey will fight former world title contender Isaac Chilemba.
Papin lost his last fight to Soslan Asbarov, but it recently emerged that Asbarov failed a doping test and therefore the result of the fight was annulled. Thus, Papin has 16 victories and one defeat.
The rival of the best Russian boxer will be the former contender for the world light heavyweight title Isaac Chilemba. The Malawian is known for having faced two Russian light heavyweight world champions in the ring. In 2016, in Yekaterinburg, Chilemba met with Sergey Kovalev, who then owned three championship belts. And Isaac spent the entire fight with Crusher, losing by decision. Two years later, Isaac faced Dmitry Bivol and challenged for his WBA belt, but also lost by decision. Chilemba is a fairly experienced boxer who may well cause problems for Alexey Papin.

25 of May. Paige Vanzant – Ally Brooke
One of the most attractive fighters in the world, Paige Vanzant, continues to pursue new types of martial arts. After her UFC career ended, Paige unexpectedly entered fights, where she had two fights and lost both. Vanzant was also seen in wrestling. Now Page wants to try his luck at boxing.
On May 25, at the Misfits tournament, the former UFC star will meet with Englishwoman Ally Brooke, who is not a professional athlete. Misfits tournaments often welcome women’s fights, but they involve models and bloggers, not professional athletes.

25 of May. Alex Oliveira – Alexander Grozin
The next promotional tournament “Our Business” will be held in Sochi on May 25. In its main event, viewers will see a welterweight fight between former UFC fighter Alex Oliveira and Ural gangster Alexander Grozin.
Oliveira is an experienced Brazilian with many fights under his belt. Alex became famous in Russia after facing Alexander Shlemenko in July 2023 and losing to Storm by guillotine.
Alexander Grozin is a 27-year-old young man from Talitsa. He gained fame in RCC tournaments. After that, Alexander became the Open FC champion and the winner of the “Our Business” Grand Prix. Considering that both fighters love to put on exciting fights, their head-to-head matchup will be hot.
